Richard George Foundation and Edo State Board for Technical and Vocational Education Forge Collaboration to Empower Benin Technical Students

Benin City, February 6, 2024 - The Richard George Foundation (RGF) and the Edo State Board for Technical and Vocational Education (BTVE) have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to embark on a transformative journey of educational empowerment. The collaboration, announced today, marks a significant step towards advancing technical education and fostering economic empowerment among Benin Technical Students.

The MOU, aimed at delivering comprehensive Digital Marketing Training, outlines a dynamic partnership centered on nurturing skills development and preparing students for the challenges and opportunities of the digital era. Under the agreement, RGF will provide resource persons who are professionals in Digital Marketing, while BTVE will manage logistics related to facilities and student coordination.

In response to the collaboration, Stella Ogba-Aburu, Chief Operating Officer of Richard George Foundation, expressed enthusiasm, stating, "We are thrilled to join forces with the Edo State Board for Technical and Vocational Education in this transformative initiative. By leveraging our collective strengths, we aim to empower Benin Technical Students with essential digital marketing skills, enhancing their employability and prospects for the future."

The Digital Marketing Training, set to commence this February 2024, will feature a comprehensive curriculum, month-long mentorship classes, and aftercare support via WhatsApp channels. Additionally, internship opportunities will be provided for outstanding students, fostering exposure to diverse sectors and enhancing their global employability.

Peter Momodu, Desk Officer, Linkages and Partners at Edo State Board for Technical and Vocational Education, echoed the sentiment, affirming the commitment to sustained collaboration beyond the initial training. "This partnership underscores our dedication to elevating the standard of technical education and preparing students for success in the digital landscape. We look forward to a fruitful collaboration with Richard George Foundation," said Momodu.

The MOU between RGF and BTVE represents a collaborative effort to equip Benin Technical Students with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
